Lawns and Landscapes

Over Trim is Over Kill

Avoid regular trimming of shrubs. The more often you cut the limb of a plant the more susceptible it is to various diseases, blights and funguses.

If you desire a formal landscape where your plants are neatly pruned you should seek to use plants with small leaves like (Sweet Lime, Texas Sage, Star Jasmine, Ixora & Westland Ficus).

Shrubs like Hibiscus and Lake View Jasmine are better utilized in informal landscapes where minor pruning is carried out for the prime purposes of shaping and training.
