Tropical Plants

The term "tropical plant" refers to a vast array of plants that we can't even dream of comprehensively covering on our site. As the title suggest it is a plant that cannot thrive outside of the tropical region that is located between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. A tropical climate is one that is characterised by a slight variation in temperatures from summer to winter where the mean temp of the coolest month remains above 64 degrees Fahrenheit. While most tropical plants would opt to be located within the tropics you must consider the fact that while some tropical plants need tropical climates to thrive...some do not.  This is purely due to the fact that what can or cannot be grown in a specific climate is purely a function of the plant, and it's adaptability to less than ideal conditions.
